COURSE ON AGRICULTURAL POLICY ANALYSIS IN AFRICA
FOR LUSOPHONE AFRICAN COUNTRIES

v Four (4) weeks of intensive training in agricultural policy analysis in Africa for twenty participants.
v Four selected modules encompassing theoretical and practical tools of agricultural policy analysis, covering three main components: (i) Agricultural development policies and rural poverty in Africa, (ii) Food and Agricultural trade, (iii) Methods of investigation and analytical instruments.
v A course delivered in Portuguese by Top-level Professionals and academics.
v Expected results including (i) A better understanding of agricultural development issues in Africa, (ii) More effective participation in international agricultural trade negotiations, (iii) Capability to design and formulate efficient domestic trade policies and (iv) Enhanced capacity to apply practical tools and methods to the diagnosis and solution of agricultural development problems
v Targets:
Officials from Lusophone African countries with a solid background in Economics, Agricultural Economics or Agricultural Sciences from the public and private sectors (including the civil society) involved in policy making in agriculture and rural development.
v Application and deadline:
